I've just gotten the Thought Transmitter by John Cornelius. The instructions provide a routine for the spectator to read your mind. It sounds pretty good, but I am not sure if it's better to use the TT to read the spectator's mind or to let the spectator to read your mind with it. What do you think?

There's already some threads on the TT, do a search. However, in my opinion, it's best to read the spectator's mind, and in the search, you'll find a presentation with a sandwich baggie & rubber band to add to the effect, as well as provide some timely misdirection. It's a great device in my opinion!

I'll second Indyfan! I've used the TT both ways and find that the greatest reaction is when I intuit their thoughts. Try it both ways and see what YOU think. . . A little trial and error will show you where YOU get the best reaction.

Here's a helpful hint related to the handling of the Thought Transmitter that has been very effective for me:
Someone else wrote this in a post a long time ago, and I'm reproducing it for you here (I apologize in advamce for not knowing who to give credit to for this great idea:) Alain Nu uses the TT to quickly get a bit of info on the fly during one of his stand-up routines. He enters the audience, folds the TT back on itself to expose the post-it note and hands the TT to the participant. As I recall, when he retrieves the TT he asks the participant whether she kept the piece of paper (he didn't tell her to)--gets his peek at that moment--and hands the TT back to her so she can remove the post-it note. Nice handling. Hope that helps you! It has proven very effective for me in real world performing.
