"Tamariz-Wand" looks like real magic. Fair dinkum!
Some time ago it was sold by Juan Mayoral (Spain). |

Fukai sells those wands now. I love to work with pulls. You don't have to shove a silk in your fist. Just have the pull and snap them in. If you really want to learn about silk magic, Rice's encyclopedia is the bomb. If you can't afford the books they have them on a cd-rom now. I highly suggest all 4 volumes.

So Matt, when you first saw it performed... wasn't it like real magic?

Tamariz-Wand: you throw the(small!) silk into the air, and the moment you touch it with the wand, it is gone. That is what you really see.

Yes it is true magic, like you would only see in the movies. Now you can perform a miracle in the palms of your hand.

Jim Gerrish's first commercial trick, that he actually used to make up and sell at Ted Collins' NJ Mecca Magic Store back when we were teens, was called "The Little Wonder." He would take an ungimmicked red silk, and place it in an ungimmicked glass, and the silk would instantly vanish- BUT his instant color change was even more popular, because the silks could also change to an ungimmicked blue silk that he then dumped out of the glass and used in his next effect. I think you got the whole thing: silk, glass and gimmick, for $3.00 back in those days. If there is interest, I could talk him into writing it up for a Wizards' Journal one of these cold winter evenings.

I use the egg from Silk to Egg as a TT for vanishing 18" squares or 24" diamond cut silks.

Flash silk vanish wand,
hank pulls sinada gimmick silk to silk vanish <my own creation when I needed a clean vanish> I also have a universal vanisher that I use for any small object that leaves the hands clean and can be reproduced with little effort. I have also used the gimmick on the multiplying sponge balls to vanish a silk after producing the sponge ball from the silk. just some of what I do. |
