Her name is Eva Cassidy, and I'm ashamed to say I have never heard of her until now. I have to say, this one makes tears flow.

Yeah--she is really great! Unfortunately when we found out about her and how much we liked her--we found out she passed on. But her music lives with wonderful songs.

She was played regularly on radio over here a couple of years back..had a couple of hits after her death.

My "Wake up" song, for quite a while was "Mercury Blues" by David Lindley.
Used to get me to work with a smile- a lot of energy in that song.
