Granted, perhaps my e-mail address was "harvested" another way, but the coincidence of receiving spam by e-mail about Street Magic Magazine and the PM here at the Café on the same topic is difficult to overlook.
I like the Café, but if (mind you, if) my private e-mail address was obtained by Street Magic Magazine with the Café's help, I object. Clog my PM box with ads if you feel that you have that right (for it is, IMHO, a fair price to pay for use of the Café), but DO NOT clog my private e-mail with spam -- or cooperate with those who do. Bottom line question: did the Café give my e-mail address to Street Magic Magazine, or otherwise facilitate acquisition thereof? Steve, and Café staff, this is a serious issue to me, and I'd greatly appreciate a candid and on-point answer. If you had nothing to do with this spam, then fine, but as I said the coincidence is difficult to discount. Clay Shevlin |

Clay, the Café does not now nor has it ever given out personal information about it's members. You have elected not to show your email address in your profile to the general membership so the message you received via that method was obtained from another source not affiliated with the Café.

Many thanks for the prompt response, Dave. What I gather from your e-mail is that the Café had nothing to do with the spam I received. Glad to hear it. Clay
