I am planning to incorporate my CW Jumbo Sidekick II with Creative Magic's Bigger Wands. Do you think it will work?
I feel that it is much better than just using a single wand. I plan to use the last 4 wands for the 4 actions. Any ideas for this? Thanks!

Good idea Lou. Eliminates the use of the gun, and with the remote hidden, the kids may actually believe that the wands are magical after all! So would you be using picture cards or normal cards? How much does JS II go for these days?

I've used my Sidekick with various wands for years. It orginally started with me offering the child a choice of a wooden veneer wand, a black wand, or a "toy" wand. I started using with Bigger Wands with my Sidekick II after obtaining a set from Brian (Creative Magic) at the LVMS last February (06). I will tell you, I now incorporate several gag wands (David Ginn color changing / appearing wands, feather duster wand, spring wands, etc...) along with Bigger Wands and get a HUGE reaction from the kids. Some wands don't work (for the effect), some I bring out and toss back into my case in all of 10 seconds; its a flurry of wands with the finale being a 7 foot wand! Kids howl with laughter.

Magicmarkdaniel,
The JS II comes with jumbo Bicycle cards AND a set of alphabet cards for the effect. They even (or when my JS was made) include a wooden block to help weight down the card box for the table tipping sequence, since the 26 cards may not be enough to tip the top. Steve |

I have always loved Jumbo side kick. I almost bought it several times many years ago. However, doing mostly schools and fmaily shows it just did not seem practical for me. I mean the table with the flower in it. I saw it done for a kids show before and at the end with the pip fell off the kids did not get it. One even said it is still wrong. I think the trick is great for adults. At one time someone said they made it with a letter deck using the letter B that changed to E (not sure if this was right or not)
Well anyway I in up buying kerry pollacks card in balloon. you can see this at http://www.wirelesswizardry.com . Three balloons on a table a care is picked and you tell them you have a dup card in one of these balloons as you say this one balloon starts to deflate. leaving two balloons , then another one flys off leaving just one balloon. Instaed of using the gun which you could use if you wanted it comes with a remote. I used the remote to trigger the actions of the table. I then would hand a child my old magic wand and they are to wave it at the last balloon. When they do the front metal pcs falls down, then they do it again and the card box flys into the air. Then they do it again and the balloon pops and there is a card there but it is the wrong card. they wave the wand one more time and the card splits in half leaving the correct card standing. So this card in balloon has worked out better for what I do and it made more since than the jumbo side kick. But I still love the jumbo side kick for the adults. Ken |

The Sidekick is made to use either a regular card or the "E" card changes into an "F" (the correct card). I love the Pollack "Card in Balloon", too, but it's tougher to set up and use in medium-sized birthday parties (NOT in a home), too.

Hey steve
not sure I would use the jumbo side kick in a birthday party either. card in balloon is tougher to set up but I think the kids like it better, it appears to be a bit more appealing with the balloons. KEn |

I have used the Sidekick in birthday party situations, but you do have to watch your proximity...they can see the hole in the tabletop after it's tipped, ya know! I bought it about 10 years ago from a magicienne in California. Except for the card box (which is repeatedly dropped!) it was like new. One of the strongest Collector's Workshop props ever made. It ranks up there with the Khyber Kobra and the tremendously under-rated "Time Odyssey".
