My dear friend Dick Williams' wife Virginia passed away yesterday after a brief illness. Dick is my mentor and best known for holding the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest running TV magic show. Dick and Virginia's show "Magicland" ran out of Channel 5 in Memphis for 26 years.
Dick's show was so highly thought of that many stars of magic made appearances on the show such as Harry Blackstone, Mark Wilson, Charlie Miller, Ricki Dunn, Walter "Zaney" Blaney, John Calvert and many more. Dick and Virginia shot over 1,200 shows for television and had a vast library of routines in filing cabinets. He's one of those rare individuals who has forgotten more magic than most of us will ever know. Do him a favor and drop him an email at rkwilliams@iopener.net It will do him a world of good during this dark time. They were married 56 years! Tony Brent Outta Control Magic Show |

Virginia was one of the sweetest women I'd ever met, and one of the most talented. She was a major force behind the 23 years of "Magicland". We'll miss you Virginia.
