Do any of you have "The Tortoise and the Hare . . . The Next Generation " by Julian Franklin & Wonder Imagery?
Any thoughts? Here is the link - http://www.timsonefelt.com/cgi-bin/store......_pid=yes Thanks Cliff |

Hi Cliff:
It looks very interesting - I personally find routine descriptions like this very frustrating. I don't expect the routine laid out in full on a website, but I wish there was at least a bare bones description of the basic effect. The silks look great, as do all of Tim's. But, I have no idea what this is about other than the classic story - is it a transposition? 20th Century Silks? A story with no real magic? Perhaps Tim will see this thread and give us a little glimpse. However, right now...$125.00 seems like a lot of money for four or five silks. Ron |

I have to admit I also found the description frustrating. What about the size of the silks? I also am not sure what it is supposed to "do".
No to detract from the effect, I'm sure it's good if Julian spent the time to market it. However, a better description of the mechanics and audience participation involved would help me justify the cost. The silks look cute. Chris |

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the interest. Let me shed a little light on the effect. It's a 20th Century Silks effect with LOTS of fun puns and comedy along the way as you tell the story. There is also a change as the hare starts out 'at the starting line' and ends up asleep against the tree trunk. It comes complete with EVERYTHING you need including props, gimmicks and silks. There is also a DVD of a live performance so you can see the timing and how it plays for a real audience. The DVD is available by itself as a 'Demo DVD' for those who'd like to see the routine before purchasing. The DVD is also available on the web site and you get reimbursed for the price of it if you buy the effect (or any effect) via an e-coupon. Hope this helps and I apologize for the vagueness in the effect. Sometimes when we write ad copy we're too close to the effect and know it intimately because of the number of times we've performed it. I'll work on getting the description on line to reflect that it's a 20th century effect. Best, Tim Sonefelt |

All of the silks that I've seen or ordered from Wonder Imagery are beyond cute...they are simply the best available.

I saw this routine at Kidabra. I already have a routine that I do with a 20th century silks. If I did not I would not hesitate to use The Tortoise and the Hare. It is a well thought out routine with excellent looking silks. When I replace my current routine this is on the list of possibilities.
