Hehe, that's hilarious magicgeorge :')
Anyway, it wouldn't really be my style, but I think it will set you more apart from the crowd. But I think the most important part is that you feel comfortable and confident in it!

They make a short sleeve silk and satin button down shirts. A dark color one open with something light underneath always looks good and is good for using silk pulls and other items.

I would stick to Al's suggestion and go with a solid color shirt.
My first reaction when I saw it was that a friend of mine would like it for his performance, but he's a clown. Please, please do not take offense at that as it was in no way intended to make you feel badly. (I always worry how something is going to come across on the internet). Just to me I solid colored shirt is more universal and appealing. Al is right, the person writing the check (yes, often us women) will be scrutinizing you when you walk in the door to see what impression you will be making on the crowd, especially where children are involved. Now, if you do a lot of comedy magic and have a boisterous personality, then that shirt might be appropriate. However, if you are trying to carry off a more polished look, not so much. BTW...the pic of your daughter is adorable! You must be a really proud dad! I hope the female perspective helped. And again, it was not meant in any way to be anything but supportive to your question! ~ Magic4ewe |
