According to David Blaine’s production office, the notice posted on his website claiming that the Brooklyn magicians next stunt would take place in the summer of 2007 and be called Zombie is a fake and Blaine has no current plans along those lines. The notice was discovered by db Productions staff last week and removed. Who posted the announcement and how they did it, is being looked into. The initial message went up on DavidBlaine.com’s news section shortly before the Christmas holiday: “How we cope with captivity. Prophets make me think of the past, while museums make me plan for the future. I entered a museum yesterday, and I left with a clear vision for my next challenge. Winter we huddle together, we keep warm. Summer, is all we can do for space, for freedom. Next summer will be for all of you, and a personal mission for me. Next summer will be ZOMBIE. Happy holidays, everyone.†The ominous disappearance of the Zombie notice was first discussed on the iTricks Magic Week In Review podcast. |

No, no... what they meant was that "Next summer I will be Zombie." The stunt was cancelled when it was determined that many already had come to that conlusion on their own.
