Hi all
I am thinking about purchasing this great looking effect, but have read posts that there have been a few complaints about the quality of the silk, I have seen this product on a uk dealers site and want to purchase it, but don't want a shabby silk. Did all the not so good silks get pulled cause I heard he made a better silk for this routine, any help would be appreciated cheers Daren |

Hi Daren,
Go for it....I got mine nearly a year ago and would say that both the silk and the effect are beautiful. Kids and adults alike love it. Paul.

Daren,
There is no more"shabby" silks used on my Thing. Let me re-phrase that... For the past year The Thing has been made to my specifications (correct material, manufacturing, accoutrements, etc.). We had an issue with the very first batch of the Thing way back in August of 2005, but that was quickly resolved and there are no more "shabby" Things in existence. FYI Morrissey Magic here in Toronto is manufacturing and distributing The Thing. Murphys Magic and Show-Biz Magic Services is distributing The Thing in the U.S. Please contact your local dealer about purchasing your very own (non-shabby) Thing. Sincerely, Bill Abbott |

Bill is speaking the truth here!
Recently received "The Thing" from Hank Lee's. No Shabby silk here, nothing shabby at all. Great product, well produced! Thanks, Bill! Eddie |

Bill, is there a way for people to know if they have an old/used one which version is is? in case they want to make sure they have the refined version?

Thanks Eddie!
Frank, Hocus-Pocus had the first batch over a year and a half ago which sold out in a week. Everyone who had a defective 'Thing' would have contacted us for a replacement then. The original batch's material had an almost metallic sheen to it and came in both blue and purple colours. If you have any concern's about the Thing that you have send an email to richard@morrisseymagic.com along with a picture and we can let you know what you own. I am on the road until next week but you can try to contact me through the Café. Sincerely Bill Abbott |

My Thing came with two brand new bandaids in the crystal box. Is this normal?
I am serious. I am just wondering what they are for or if I possibly got someone's return. Thanks John Cesta |

John
The bandaids are to put around the gimmick where your finger/thumb goes. This is for comfort as well as camophlage . Hope this answers your question. Amerigo
