James Randi has changed the challenge to eliminate all the whack jobs that apply for it. Now one will have to be a somebody with some press coverage before they will be considered. He wants to actively go after those he belives are duping the public.
Randi says he'll start actively investigating professional mind-readers and mediums for proof of criminal fraud, or opportunities for civil lawsuits.

The foundation will launch this public-shaming initiative with a list of four targets, including self-proclaimed medium John Edward, and daytime talk show darling Sylvia Browne, who claims she can tell the future and see angels.

If you've never seen the magazine "Skeptical Inquirer" you're missing a real treat. I don't know in what capacity Randi is involved, but I know he's on the board of directors. Anyway, it's about the only magazine I read cover to cover.
