I finally went to the Charles Schulz exhibit at the Brooks Museum in Memphis. It was a spur of the moment trip. I was reading part of an interview with Mr. Schulz:
Interviewer: If Charlie Brown were to write and epitaph for Charles Schulz, what would it say? Mr. Schulz: Just, "He made us happy." Charles Schulz never though of himself as this man that created some type of world recognized icon (Snoopy, and who doesn't know Snoopy!), he always told people, "I'm just a man that draws a cartoon strip." If you think about it, isn't that the goal of what we do? Does it really matter who has the better double lift, or who can do a better muscle pass, or who can escape from a straitjacket the quickest or most unusual way....isn't it all in making the audience happy? Margarette
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Margarette, couldn't agree more. I think we both dance to the tune - "It Ain't What You Do It's The Way That You Do It . . . That's What Gets Results".

I agree...though I would also like to leave a bit of a 'shudder' with those who remember me.
My epitath would be: "He had a weird, spooky mind...but a pleasant one." Steve
Dr. Lao: "Do you know what wisdom is?"
Mike: "No." Dr. Lao: "Wise answer." |

Then It must be the case that if your audience is unhappy you must question your performance?
My epitath would be: "He was fast!"
"You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus."
