I am going to see DC tomorrow. I was wondering, how long is his show?

I saw his show in 2004. It was about two hours long. I am going next tuesday night again. Hope he has mixed up his illusion line up a bit.

It depends on the venue. If it's a tour venue, it'll be a slightly longer show. Whilst performing at MGM Grand in Vegas, the show is about an hour long. How'd you find it, Joey?

Well the show was a little over an hour and a half long. It was a great show, unlike anything I have ever seen before. But I don't think the experience has hit me yet. I was hoping he would have done the laser illusion, but it wasn't in the show The Lottery, Portal and Thirteen were in the show though. And wonderful to watch. I really liked the penetration through the steel. I liked the little running gag with the appearance of the duck, and the effect later with the duck was entertaining as well. The pregnancy thing was a little weird, lol. And I liked the effect with that scorpion. It is something I won't soon forget. I am totally happy with the fact that I have seen David Copperfield live.

Yes it's a shame the Laser is not in the current programme. It's an awesome illusion. You're lucky to have seen Thirteen! I went to see him in LV in September and the show was closed with Portal (no 13), which is of course hardly an anticlimax! I agree with your thoughts on the pregnancy business; didn't really see how that was at all 'magical'. Suppose it's good for some comic relief? Was a great experience seeing him live for me too. Lottery was incredible. Cheers,

Well it looked like the show was going to end with Portal for a minute there. But then he came back out and asked if we wanted more.

Ah, that's very nice of him! Was the 'Panty Swap' in the programme as well? (It wasn't when I went).

Yeah, the panty swap was not in the show when I went 2 years ago. I sure hope it isn't in the show tomorrow night.

I was just wondering does DC have a wife or any kids? The only thing I knew of was that thing he had with Claudia Schiffer years back.

Yes he must have thousand of kids right now as he has a baby with a new woman in each shows:) . Seriously I don't know very much his privacy but as far as I know he has no kid.

He may be seeing someone, but as far as I know he's never been married or a father. It's certainly not publicised anywhere; this I definitely respect. He has a right to keep his private life private. Very wise to exercise this right. Out of interest, did Thurston and/or Kellar ever have spouses?

There's a book about his early years based on the diary of his 15 year old wife, Grace: http://www.dennymagic.com/cgi-bin/hazel.......m=007628 He had at least one daughter (Jane- whose mother was Thurston's 3rd wife). He may have had more kids, but I'm not a historian so don't know. I don't know if Kellar was ever married. I don't remember ever reading anything about a wife. |

I just saw Dc on Friday night and had a great time. Its been about 3 years or so since the last time I had seen him. He started out a bit slow but the Seattle crowd perked him right up and he had great energy and was having a blast through out the show. Money well spent... Brian

Glad to hear it Brian! Thanks for the info, Xpilot. Much appreciated. It is interesting to see if the busiest magicians do find time to nurture a relationship or not. Reminds me of what Lance Burton says on his website in response to the interview question, "Are you married?" His reply was, "I'm married to my work."
