For a good dinosaur, you need a long neck, do a double body and roll 3 bubbles through the double. Short legs and a long tail will complete it.

There's a good 1 260Q balloon t-rex dinosaur explained in the DVD "Toys 4 Boys". Actually this model was invented by Danny Sylvester!

Sally's balloon is similar to mine, but I just use a long neck/head instead of a sculpted one..makes it look more like a brontosaur/brachieosaur.

Kids will prefer a T-rex over a brontosaur.
For my T-rex, I use 2 balloons (260's). The head looks a lot like Sally's. Leave a 4" tail. 3" bubble, 3" bubble (twist them together, jaws) 1" bubble, 1" bubble (twist together, eyes, or you can skip this and add a white balloon for eyes later, which makes it cooler) 2-3" bubble (neck) 3" bubble (then if you now how to do a pop series, do that and then another 3" and lock at base of neck, if not) 1" bubble, 1" bubble, 3" bubble (twist them together at base of neck, arms) then I add a pinch twist into the back to keep him upright. You should have a fairly distinguishable t-rex without any hind legs. Take the second balloon, you won't use it all. 1" bubble, 2" bubble, 2" bubble (twist together the 2"s in front of the 1", foot) 2-3" bubble, pinch twist, 3" bubble, pinch twist, 3" bubble, pinch twist, 2-3" bubble (both legs) 2" bubble, 2" bubble, 1" bubble, break off excess. The second pinch twist in the leg sequence attaches to the first balloon. Attach it about half way down or a little less so the torso and tail are appropriately proportioned. Making this with 350's gives it a thicker/more full bodied look (obviously) Ask if you have questions. Peace

Kids will prefer a Tyranosaur, but it's 2 balloons tall, and takes a little more time. Lots of bubbles up the back for effect, but time comsuming. For a quickie, it's a steg.

Warren asked for a 1-2 ballooner, that's why I offered. Now he has two choices.

Mark Verge has a quick little Tyranasaurus Rex you could throw together in a spare minute:
http://markverge.balloonhq.com/complete.......;idl=139 If you check out the forum at http://www.mbd2.com they have a thread there with lots of dinosaurs on it, even one by me! T-rex's are usually more popular but boys often ask for a "long neck" quite often, too. George |

He he. Did you check out the next 2 photos were he climbs inside it? Apparently he spent a good part of a balloon convention walking around in it.
Here's a 2 balloon Tyranosaurus (I have to stop calling it a T-rex, wee boys keep correcting me, obviously not Mark Bolan fans). Check the attached. Not a very good pic but you get the idea. The yellow part is better if you use a white balloon but I had none to hand. George Click here to view attached image. |
