I saw an effect performed recently in which the magician used three envelopes. A spectator chose a card, and signed it, and then it was place inside one envelope. The envelope was sealed, and two jokers were placed inside the other two envelopes. The spectator chose one of the envelopes, and the other two were shredded. Inside the chosen envelope was a joker, but in the end, the magician found the signed card inside his wallet.
I hope this is a clear description. Are there any sources where I can learn this effect? I am mainly interested in the envelope portion. Thanks in advance!
Think inside the box while everyone else is busy thinking outside of it.

There is a similar trick in Gary Kutz book, (which leaps to mind)

I'm assuming you meant Gary Kurtz.
Don't recall this effect performed by him, but he has something called "Special Delivery" in his book Unexplainable Acts, a signed card into a nest of envelopes effect.
