I am a magic hobbyist who can achieve most trick or routine handlings with an average level of effort and difficulty.
But retractable items are the end of me. I never did get the Self-Tying Shoelace nailed and now an having the same difficulty with the Ultimate Coin Bend. I understand that most recommended approaches to Coin bending using various retracting tools, But has anyone had any luck with an alternate approach (sleight of hand, etc.) Thanks! Dave

If you can use sleight of hand just do that. PM me and I can give you some resources to get a good tool(not expensive)to coin bends.

It depends on the conditions you want to match in your routine. You could prepare in advance and work along the way all "cigarette through coin" routines go. If you build up the effect, it can play very well. Of course, it won't allow for the exact same thing (signed coins, etc.)
The idea would be to make the sleight as soon as possible and delay the revelation in order to reinforce the idea that the coin you are holding is perfectly normal, and do the revation in the most "clean" manner. Jonathan. |
