I just got some hat coils today and have been working on a hat coil routine with newspaper. I was wondering what other people used hat coils with. Any ideas out there?

Not to sound funny but really, Hats, I have always (in my kid shows) borrowed the kids hat, did the "dust off load" and then pulled down and let the sucker go-go-go!
kids go crazy!

I saw a Gypsy show once where they did a tambourine production pulling it from the drum head!

Also used in a tamboour type load. Twirl it around on the end of the wand. Jerry Conklin and Mark Mitten both do it this way.

I was curious as to where I can find information on actually doing it with a hat. I can load it, it's actually keeping it in there after I've turned the hat upside down that I can't figure out. Do they make some sort of device to keep it in there? I'm talking a nice Derby or top hat where you can't actually grip it from the other side.

Even a book I could find the answer to the above in would be nice if anyone knows.

Thanks,
