So, in my quest for inflatables fabric, I found three GREAT online resources for fabric, and thought I would share:
trimfabric.com ahh.biz denverfabrics.com The last one had a HUGE selection and one cent swatches!
Leaping Lizards!!! Who knew it was possible.

My suggestion for a fabric suitable for inflatable applications is to get something that is coated. What I saw at Denver was primarily uncoated nylon. If you get something without a coating (and you only need a light coating), the fabric will breathe. I say this because I am in the business of manufacturing inflatables.
I did a quick google search for coated ripstop nylon fabrics and got a number of hits. One source that came up is http://www.therainshed.com. The prices are high...but they do have very lightweight coated nylons which should work. |
