I'm thinking of buy either Expert Coin Magic or the Coinmagic book. Is either better than the other?

One is Roth, the other is 1/4 Roth + Latta and others.
Better?

My advice, would be to get both.

I don't have Coinmagic.
Expert Coin Magic has a lot of Roth's work with the Okito coin box. It also has very structured, long routines. Not a lot of quickies. Quite a bit of it must be performed seated. If you don't have Modern Coin Magic, start with that.

I'd go with Coinmagic first... it gives you different people as opposed to just Roth who is a more formal sit down performer.

I would back Coinmagic too.
Both books are good, you need both, but the Roth is 1/3 sitting down and 1/3 coin box. A lot of Coinmagic are short tricks and there are more stand-alone moves and sleights. |

I have Kaufman's Coin Magic and it contains a wealth of material. I don't have the Roth book (yet) but it's on my list, when I can afford it.
There's still plenty to keep me busy in Kaufman, so I'm sure you wouldn't go wrong with either one.
Woke up.

Check out the jumbo finale method for the Portable Hole and maybe even the Ruler trick... and that wonderful quarter vanish where a coin melts! Two are in CoinMagic and one in Roth's book. Enjoy and find more goodies that suit your needs. :)

If you do get coin magic, be shure to check out Geoff Latta's routine stand up spectator coins across.
