One day a long time ago, I was sitting in class playing with a peice of IT a tissue paper. I was practicing Fearsons Floating Cigarette. I started to levitate it and did all the moves, and I realised it got really quiet. I looked up and saw every single person in the class staring at me with identical looks on their faces. Their mouths were open and their eyes were huge, my teacher included. After about ten seconds of them staring at me, and me staring at them, my teacher asked me to do it right in front of the class.
I would have done it, but my IT broke when I looked up. THE END |

Good story Vincenzo. I remember when I used to do the floating dollar and people could not believe their eyes. That look is priceless. Should be in a Mastercard commercial.

Yeah, it was great. I also did it in a supermarket while these kids where watching, and when I done floating the object they said, "how did you do that?"
"do what?" I said "made that thing float!" they said. Then i looked at them like they were insane and said, "What are you talking about?" Then I left. |

I love it! I think it's great when you refuse to perform when you "know" someone is watching after they saw you apparently unaware. It adds that tiny extra push to the suspicion it might have been real.

Having some more experience now than I did when this happened, I probably wouldn't do it again, but it seemed right at the time...and my instinct turned out to be correct.
I was performing at a hospital, and was floating a silk - about to make it vanish with a TT. As I was "magically" waving my hands all aroud the silk, one of the boys who was about fourteen years old and "very smart" (just ask him) told everyone I had a thread in my hands. "I dare you to walk away from it" he said. Fortunately, I was using an ITR, so I just stepped back a couple steps and the silk hung there... "NO WAY!" he shouted. He was fried by it... and I won a new fan. As I said, now that I am more experienced with IT, I'd likely not do that again. But it was an fun reaction. Magically, Pete
Will anyone who believes in telekenesis please raise my hand?

I'm so busy that I end up practicing what I can where I can while trying not to give away the secret. When I started with coins I was practicing the basic palm with a half dollar and "moving" it to the other hand while I closed it. I thought I was doing horrible when a lady walked up and said I've watched you do that 10 times now and I still can't figure it out. How are you doing it? I just smiled and said it's magic and walked away..
