Profile of Marshall Thornside
The first Magician of the Month for February is my parents.
Because I'm just to lazy to write something specific for
the forum, I just cut and pasted the newsletter I just wrote
for my email list.

Hello all,

The weather was brutal and we all stayed in, warm and safe.
Yesterday was St. V-day and it was 35 years ago my p's
got the ball & chain from Aunt Frances at the little theatre
at Magic, Inc. I have photos, should I scan and post 'em?
Them were the days, when more than 1/2 of the Magic
Roundtable were alive.

Just wanted to let you know that Jim Klozden, currator
of the American Museum of Magic in Marshall, MI has
started a 'Magician of the Month.'

He choose my p's to be the first of 'em all.

Jim has done a fantastic job keeping up with things at
the best and largest library and museum of magic in
the world.

I have many fond memories of visiting Marshall, MI when
I was a child and we would visit Bob and Elaine Lund
(founders/owners) when we were passing through.
Usually it was always closed, but Bob always opened
it up for us to let us stop in for a visit.

Anyone who is serious about magic or has a keen interest
should make a point of stopping in and visiting the landmark.

In the meantime, if you can't make plans to visit the musem
at least visit the website and send Jim a note.

Click on the news section then go to the Gallery section and you'll
see some photos old and new. Even ones I've never seen!

Thank you Jim!!

On another 'Magic' note I learned something while browsing the
Genii forums. Dr. Tarbell spelled my dad's name wrong in Volume 6
of the book. Because of that, I have a new nickname for my dad.
For you enthusiasts go to page 327. Check out the illustrations.
(I didn't know that he was in the Tarbell collection!)

Stay warm and my friends,
I'll be sending a list of places I'm playing from March-June.
And more good vibes along the way.
