Wow. Lot's of people in here can, but you'll have to be a bit more specific.
A search on the term "routining" provided the following helpful start and a LOT more. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......1&27 I'd reccommed a few days reading what is here already and then refining your question further. |

Hey, I'm not very experienced, but I can share a little advice that I obtained in my few years of performing magic. I used to perform kids' shows with a partner when I was a sophomore and junior in high school. We'd split the money from each show. It was a lot of fun and good extra cash aside from our part time jobs. The way we planned our shows was simple. We'd go through each "genre" or "style" of magic as the show progressed.
For example, we'd usually start with a silk routine. My parter would do it to music using a thumb tip, silk cabby, square cirlce, etc. From the silk routine, we'd move on to the small stuff, like coing magic (scotch & soda, use the Raven somehow) or maybe a ring flight. Then from coins move on to card magic, from cards to bigger stuff like Dice Box, Hippity Hop Rabbits, Stratosphere, sometimes the zombie ball to music and then we'd end with our favorite and most powerful effect that we owned at that point in time. If you don't want it simple like that, try to be creative and put a theme to your routine. That's what I want to do in the future. |

I'm not sure what you mean by "Plan a show". If you're talking about a show for the public then our very own "Jaxon" when through this process last year. He gave us a real good play-by-play as he went put together his first ever public show. Read this thread: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=44
Until we appear again, Kipp Sherry |
