Has anyone seen the Magic Wand Factory on Hocus-Pocus website. It seems like it could have some strong possibilities. If anyone has this can they give a review.
Thanks, Tim |

Some of the guys from England would have seen it before.
Perhaps they will share their thoughts with Us? |

I ordered one from practical magic awhile ago, and ended up selling it on eBay. I was not very happy with the prop/effect, especially for that money. The "factory" is not made of wood - it is some sort of foam material, and I think that the effect itself is not that deceptive, even to kids. If you are looking for a good wand effect for entertainment purposes, that is not a "trick," then I suggest BIGGER WANDS (by creative magic) instead.

I came up with my own smaller version (Do-it-yourself) of a "Wand Factory" type effect called a "Wand Mender." The idea is that your wand is "broken" so you need to "fix it." It can use any wands, switching between spring, break-away,foam, and so on. You can make it look as goofy as you want, adding cranks, TV antennas, spinning wheels, blinking lights and so on. It's posted on The Magic Nook forum in the Children's Magic section (FREE - but you need to register and request the secret password!).

As the owner of a large collection of Wolf's Magic, I look at this prop, and WISH it was much funkier, better made, designed to hold MY set of comedy wands as well as those provided, and well designed magically, so it's really baffling. This is such a great idea, and there are now several versions sold, but none of them are up to much, sadly.

OK just my two thoughts on that machine. It is build in Germany the factory called http://www.future-magic.de He is a very friendly guy and in my opinion one of the best builders here in Germany. He also builds the Comedy Die Tube, Hugo, Ferdinand, Zig Zack Rocky, Dice BOx and so on.
He's material is not wood it is indeed some kind of foamex but in very good quality. I have many effects from him like the dice box and nearly use it in every show, I already have it 8 jears now and still in great conditions. To the wand machine. The wands a made from wood. The idee is great and the prob is hugh so everybody can see this on stage but for travelling around it is in my opinion a little bit to big. The kids like the effect and its great as a starter and for warm up. So if anybody as anymore questions just ask me. Markus |

Foamex is very light weight. It's a kind of compressed PVC, so it's strong, flexible, durable etc. Hope this help you.

I would also like to see more from this effect. To me, it looks plain and pretty unexciting. This is something that I wish that had a "zanier" (sp?) look to it...like something from the Wacky Wolf. It would be very cool if each wand had something that could be done with it. Maybe one day Chance Wolf will be able to do something with it. Perhaps a Wacky Wolf Wandomatic 3000?
