I didn't know where to post this, but a lot of people have been PMing me for more information about my new book, "Revolutionary Marketing For Magicians." I've been very slowly letting the word out and it's been getting quite a buzz.
It is set to release towards the end of April. Here's what a little about the book: "Thank you for your interest, it means a lot to me that other people have an interest in my marketing (I'd assume you want more info on my marketing book) ideas. With these marketing ideas I've learned through time, trial, reading other books and other ways, I've grossed over $75,000 a year! As you know it is very hard as a magician to make that kind of money...ever, let alone a year. But, with my new book I give you samples and my best ideas that have proven to be successful! You'll learn everything from how to start with nothing-absolutely nothing (except a good act) like I did and go on to perform shows for Fortune 500 & 1000 companies for upwards of $10,000 for a 90 minute show. You might be wondering why my ideas are so "revolutionary?" The answer is that instead of telling about myself all the time I talk about the client's wants, needs, fears, etc. through sales letters, websites, videos, etc. Because when you show the client that you are the answer to all their problems, that's when you can charge whatever you want for your shows! Anyway, keep an eye out at: http://www.MindBendingMagic.com for more information. Also, I'll be posting some videos of some other products real soon, so come check it out." Thank you, again! Josh London P.S. I don't even know how much the book will cost, but you can rest assured it will cost what it's worth. If you's like more information as it comes out and when I send out press releases, please don't hesitate to email me at: Office@MindBendingMagic.com and I'll put you on my list. Thanks again and I really appreciate everyone's support! |

Josh,
Are those figures right? Upwards of $10,000 for a 90 minute show and grossing $75,000 a year - that works out at less than eight gigs a year. |

The figure's are 100% correct and I've even added copies of some of the bigger contracts in the book. But, you have to realize that I work more than 8 shows a year. Since I started performing for corporate audiences, I've booked 3 $10,000 shows, each for different companies.
The rest of the shows booked were around my normal fee. And my normal fee ranges from $3,000 to $5,000 per 60-90 minute shows. I know the above figures are really hard to believe, but they're 100% true and I not only prove it, but I give you the resources and actual letters that have booked me those "bigger" shows. If I can answer anymore questions please feel free to ask me. Thank you! Josh London |

This is obviously a false claim. Other magicians who you are marketing to, know this , as many many magicians offer a 100% back. Possible clients could also be aware of this. Do you not consider this severly effects your credibility with both groups? with interest bb |

These are very legitimate questions. And I'll answer them the best I can in the order they were asked:
1) Some of the photos on my site are stock and others are what I could find in what's left of my portfolio since I don't have all my photos. I'm re-doing my website since I took the last year off to pursue a career as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Now that I've accomplished that goal I only work 10 days a month and I'm starting up my business again. I have a photo shoot in L.A. next month and the website will be complete then. I've been trying to piece it together day by day as I have time. I don't even think I have pictures for my Hypnosis Show, Magic Show or Mentalism Show. 2) There are no photos of me for the above reasons. Another reason is that I have lost about 45 pounds in the last year (running with hoses and out of burning buildings) and the photos do not accuratly portray me now. 3) The 100% Money back Guarantee is an old marketing trick. By saying that the client has a problem (they need entertainment, but want good entertainment) through sales letters, postcards, etc. and you have a solution is how I market. I know many others do this. The first person I saw do this and recommend it was Joel Bauer. I took his advice and have been using it ever since. Also, clients very rarely see as many magician's websites and promo material that other magicians see. As magicians we constantly check up on others to see what they're up to and how they do business. Therefore, I've never had a problem with a cleint saying so-and-so offers a 100% money abck guarantee too. 4) I do not think this affects my credibility with either group for the reasons stated above. Also, if I thought it would dis-credit me to have that then I would be posting something about my new book and where to learn more about me on a world-wide internet forum. Thank you for your questions and hopefully I answered them. If you have more, please ask! Thanks! Josh London |

Thanks Josh
I thought the NO PHOTOS might have been a tricky marketing ploy so you could subcontract others to do the shows or just a ploy to keep the debt collectors at bay (lol ,just kidding) looking forward to reading more about your book and hearing more reviews about your lectures bb |

Bb, a website with no pics is no website at all! I make changes to my site as often as I can. But,like I said I'm going to have a photo shoot soon and we;re going to shoot new footage for my promo video as I do not like the one I have up now (I did it myself just for kicks).
As for the book, I'll most likely be offering it at a pre-sale price and offer it a little sooner than when it will actually come out, which makes no sense because I am virtually a "no name" entertainer. But, I think it will generate a nice stream of word of mouth among the magicians who really want it. Again, please ask any questions you might have! Thanks! Josh London |

I've received so many PMs and emails about this book. I had a feeling that it would get to this point, so I'm going to start accepting people's email addresses in order to keep track of people who want to know when the book is going to be released.
You can email me at: Office@MindBendingMagic.com ro PM me with your email address and you'll be added to the (rather long) list of others who want to increase their booking dollars and pick and choose the shows they do. Also, I'll be posting a contents list shortly and tell you a little about each chapter in the book. Thank you for your interest and support! Josh London |
