Anyone know where I can see a video of a funkenring in action?

You may get some answers - but it might be more productive to clue us in on what you're thinking. Maybe you'll get more input than a video could give you (and BTW, it would be about a 1-second video).

Well I just want to see what it looks like really. Cause product descriptions and what you actually get aren't always the same.

It's a very quick inverted cone of sparks (about 8"), accompanied by a fast ratchet sound. It takes up a little more space than a joy buzzer.
It's great for gags. Walk up to someones laptop, iPod, stereo.... and ask "what's that wire for?" When they ask "What wire?" touch the thing and let the sparks fly.

Can anyone point out where I can get one of these in the UK? a (very) quick google search didn't give much joy.
I think funkenring could be the best word ever. Funkenring Funkenring Funkenring Edit- A slightly less quick google search found me a place that sells them. All is good. |

What you really want is the old type, which was german made. The new ones, manufactured in China and similar in appearance, are of much lesser quality. (They do not last, do not spark as much, the wind up key is too flexible.)
If you can help it, avoid the ones marketed by Loftus. My experience with them has been dismal. Buyer beware.
