I see that hank lee now offers the equipment to do this effect... anyone have it? what size do the measure and what are your opinions... love punx's effect and would love to incorparate it into some show work, tom noddys a bit good too... let me know what you guys think because I think the effect is genious itself...

Abbotts had clear plastic bubbles a decade ago. New plastic allow for improved products. Basically still just the billiard balls; but with new liquid super bubbles- real visual magic may be achieved. Combine, routine,execute and amaze.

I remember a U.K. juggler who, in the course of his act, blew soap bubbles in the normal way and then 'plucked' four from the descending shower and juggled with them! It was very effective!

I have been playing around with bubbles since I was a child and use them all the time. I love mixing the idea with wishes and caleb strange has a most beautiful story using bubbles in his book that will bring a tear to the eye of even the stone hearted. This is a bit off the topic but I started it so I was wondering if anyone had come up with any idea's regarding bubble magic any story idea's that anyone can reference me to... thanks...

The best magic with bubbles I have ever seen is the work of Alain-Mask-Abdel. He even won an award in the FISM in Lisboa, years ago.
The bubbles don't just multiply, they change colours, take on hexagonal shapes, they are used for production and penetration (in a Romeo and Juliet tale, oh yes). Punx was one of the great with bubbles, but so are Finn Jon and Tom Noddy. This is definately an underexplored subcategory of our art. A shame, because, as Mask stated in his "little prince" parody : "bubbles ARE magic". |
