I'm not really sure how to classify this act, but I thought you all might be interested. I posted it over in the jubbling section, but it's kind of magic too. According to their site, the performers are magicians.

Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

Wow that was amazing, I have always been amazed by contact juggling and I love the work of Jeb Sherrill. That was also very entertaining.

That depends on one's definition of magic.
Reguardless of what you want to call it, it is very artistic IMO. Joe |

I would call this artistic interpertation, black art, and juggling. This new handling of a ball has been around for some years. I see kids doing it at different places, while they are just killing time. Someone a model I think did it on Greg Fergeson's show on late nite some months back as her hobby.
Not magic in the traditional sense of the word. More like the Blue Man Group creating music. Just different! |

That was really great. Great ideas of movement and choreography. It almost felt like visual poetry of sorts. I always thought how wonderful it would be to take juggling, contact juggling and magic and combine it all together. What wonderful acts and routines you could come up with by combining different artsforms together to create something new and fresh. It really gets me thinking.

I'm sure Jeff McBride would love to see that. If he does, he might think of a method using 6-8 hands, including his mask change.

Funny you should say that, Dynamike. I found this doing a search on them.

Poetry in motion... I agree. There are some productions. As to whether the rest is magic, whatever it is, I like it lot. Congratulations Jeb and Kristina!
Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

Very beautyful to watch. It always exited me to see this kind of "juggling". I remember the first time I so this kind of glass ball "contact juggling" was in the movie called "Labyrinth" with David Bowie. Someone doubbled him to do the glass ball juggling.
May all your days be magical

Beautiful work of art. That had the touch of magic, juggling, and mime. Just amazing!

Yes, I call this work Magic...
In that it is MAGICAL in its very nature... AND a lay audience reacts to it as Magic! On the other hand... Much of what we call "Magic" is NOT very MAGICAL in nature at all! It is time we as magicians learn to value and use EVERYTHING we can add or surround our effect with… to both Create and Generate a Magical aura! My Two-Cents, Walt |
