A few months ago I posted about my local magic shop being broken into twice in a week and much was stolen. The most devastating loss was our 14 year old cockatoo Casper. Well here is a note to you all wanting to buy a big bird and think your ready for it...........The theif broke in again and....RETURNED Casper, large cage and all!

He must of been so unhappy and made so much noise that the theives couldn't deal with him and they kicked our door in again and put him inside. Casper is back home now at Encore Magic!

What a story! Thank goodness Casper was returned safely home!

WOW! That is news worthy. It's not humorous that you got broken into, but rather humorous that the thieves would break in to put something back, especially the Cockatoo! WOW! You should call your local news station and explained what happened. Not only will they most likely do a report on it, but you will also get TV time with your shop, AND someone may know something, or even heard the bird and the actual thieves may be caught.

Great Site JoJo! wish all people could read that before they get one of those birds. I remember years ago I thought of getting one of those for a pet (I wasn't into magic back then * I'm nearly 40 now - Ugh*), and then the gentleman who I was going to get it from told me all the responsibilties, and that the bird would probably outlive me, I walked away in shame. Glad til this day I didn't. Great bird to look at though, but that is about as close I will get to having one being part of my family.

Nice article the one of mytoos, I think it could save a lot of this birds of un-prepared future owners (incluiding me, I was thinking about getting one of those, but I think I'm just not ready yet LOL)
