I want to buy one of Steve's McCaw puppets (with the arm illusion), but I'm sitting on the fence on getting either the flapping wing version or the non-flapping version.

Does anyone here own the flapping version or have a video of it in action? Steve has a real short clip on his site, but I want to see more of it before I invest the money. Smile

Thanks everyone,

Rick

Wow, I noticed that posts get buried real fast now...

I guess I'll ask again, for the sake of getting this question to the top of the New Postings pile again.

Anyone here own the flapping version or have a video of it in action?

I don't have any of it, but I tried the non flapping once.
It is very life like, and of course the beak is small, even for my hand.
If your manipulation is good, people will not sure if it is alive or not.

Extra wing flapping is good, but try to think a little first. Is the bird like to open his/her wings and why? Are you sure need that action? Because it need your other hand to do this. If you have made a decision, go for it! It won't be wrong!
