Saw an ad for this and found the website
http://www.buylistenup.com/?cid=290888 A couple of ideas pop into my mind if it works as well as it does. I just wonder about loud sudden sounds that might hurt the ears/hearing Could this be used for cues for assistants and those in those secret spaces. |

I saw the video...but I couldn't hear what they were saying.
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

This could be very useful in the restaurant...nice to pick information on a table before heading over there.

I purchased the "Whisper 2000" cost me $19.95 + shipping and all I got was loud static with voices in the background.
This unit is much prettier and cheaper but I would want to try one first to see if it really does what it is advertised to do. I don't think anything less than a good parabolic mike will work very well and a decent one will cost at least $150.00 from Edmonds Scientific Company or possibly the C-Crane Company. As far as your main question goes, I would think that it would pick up too much of other peoples voices and the other sounds in such an environment. It does not look like it is very directional like a parabolic would be. But for only $14.95 + shipping, give it a try and let us know how it works out for you. -Iven
