What is the coin that can be used as a copper coin for Spellbound effect when using a Morgan Silver Dollar (i.e. An English Penny is the coin one would use with an American Half Dollar)
Thanks! Josh |

Hi Josh, Dan Watkins uses a Vietnamese copper coin, which is the same size as a Morgan silver dollar in his "King Midas Spellbound" routine he received from Todd lassen, which you can find at http://www.toddlassen.com
You may want to checkout Dan Watkins manuscript "Coinvanish Volume 1", it has some really great routines for a small price. In particular his "King Midas Spellbound" routine is fantastic and you can see a video clip of the routine on his site www. coinvanish.com

Hi Gene, the British Crowns that I have, from the 40's and the 60's, are all silver. Were they made in copper in the past?

I do a spellbound sequence at the end of Curtis Kam's Beijing Coins Across. I use a dollar size Chinese coin.

I have a British crown made in copper from Todd; it is beautiful. I don't know if he is selling them anymore, or using them for gaffus.
If you want authentic, but very worn, you might obtain an old Russian 10 kopek - it is copper and the same size of a silver dollar. |

Hi Michael,
It might be the material used to make British crowns was changed because of the war. Regards, Steve
