I just recently went to see a performance of this play. Some one knew I did magic and said go and see it since there was magic in the show. The show was fantastic and had some very good magic in it. I don't believe any of the performers were magicians and they performed it flawlessly. The cups and ball routine they did was one of the best I have seen. They also did two very nice illusions. The show made me rethink how magic can be performed in the context of play and not just in a magic show. The show is running in providence, RI at trinity repertory theater. http://www.trinityrep.com/
If your in the area I would highly recommend seeing it is a wonderful musical.

Thanks Dark kard! That's my show, actually - one of the performers is a very talented card and object manipulator - and I'm really glad you liked the illusions - they're my first ones (so it's always a bit scary).
Those of you who like history will like one in particular... If anyone wants to catch the show (it runs til May 6) PM me and I should be able to help you out with tickets - It's not technically a magic show, but we have a number of magic sequences, and it's a pretty nice night out! amanda |
