Its like a convention where instead of having 5 "big names".... there are 100... attending...learning...jamming... creating memories... celebrating close up magic basically..
Through out the weekend,I hung out with people like Herb Zarrow,Daryl,Shoot,David Acer,Richard Sanders, Yannique Lacroix, Michel Huot, Pat Page, Obie, FLIP!, Garrett Thomas, Reed Mc Clintock, Jimmy 'Cards' Molinari, David regal, Steve Beam, Dave Neighbours (this guy's a machine!!), Mike Powers, Roher Klause, Danny Archer, Rocco, Gene Anderson, Meir Yedid, Ton Onosaka and I will stop now but rest assured I could go on for a while name dropping.. (which is my number 1 magician pet peeve anyway) The magic I saw was amazing.. My highlights were Reed and Garrett... insane stuff.. There were MANY formal shows, many lectures.. (check the site) and many late night jam sessions... I created a lot of friends and memories.. I hope to be invited back next year.. Even if I am not, 1 more goal has been crossed off from my "Goals in Magic" list. It was a great few days... |

Hello fellow 4F and future 4F magic nuts
At 4F I wear many hats. I'm one of the 4F Advisors, one of the 4F photographers, when ever I can I'm one of the 4F performers, I arrange for the lighting and sound and I run the lighting. And that's when I'm not in a session or watching one of the shows. It's a lot of work but well worth it. For pictures of 4F 2007 please go to my web site at http://www.gerardenterprises.com/FFFF2007 At this time I only have day one and just over half of day two up on the site. Due to our Magic Auction And Flea Market in Kalamazoo, Michigan this Saturday I will not be able to post the end of day two and days three and four until next week. If you were one of the performers or helped one of the performers on stage you will be seeing your picture up on my web site soon. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Take care and take cards Antony Gerard PS: If you can send me information pertaining to the history of your performance I will try and add some of the information below your picture. |

Mr.Gerard I thank you very much. Ive always wanted to know what it was like to be at a FFFF convention and now I can almost feel as if I was there. What I would really like to know is what Helder Guimaraes did! Just a week before the 4F event he amazed us all at Hank Lee's conclave and I would just like to hear about what he did. Thanks again.

Hello Pauly
I believe that Helder performed on the Saturday night show. I hope to have the Saturday pictures up on my web site next week. If my memory serves me correctly I believe that Helder did a bottle production and some great card work. I will have to check my notes to be sure. I hope to have all of the pictures on my site by the end of next week. The captions and credits will take longer. Probably within the next three to four weeks. Take care and take cards Antony Gerard PS: Glad to hear that you enjoyed the pictures. |

What I hate about these pictures is that they show me wearing the same thing throughout the convention!

Your welcome Eric. The way I see it, everyone involved in 4F deserves some recognition. This is my way of doing so. I hope to have the names and captions done this week.
I looked at the pictures and see what you mean Jean-Luc, but when you consider that 4F is a one day convention that lasts for four days, it's understandable. Why change cloths when you haven't been to bed. Just kidding of course. I myself wore three sport coats last year all the same color. I only noticed when I started editing the 4F pictures. When you don't sleep for a few days you tend not to notice those things. Pauly I wanted to mention that my DVD will finally be done early this August. I will advertise it here on the Café just before it is done. It is the DVD that you asked about on the "A Card Force To Lose Sleep Over" forum. Take care and take cards Antony Gerard PS: One of my favorite 4F quotes came from my good friend Jay Marshall. Jay said: "Who needs a room - It's only a four day convention. |

Nothing beats Eric's dress code. He didn't even dress to perform. He only wore a robe and his underwear to perform! ;-)
The convention is getting way too casual! J-L |

Jean-Luc if you think back a few years ago at 4F when all that Michael Bairefoot had on at the end of his show was a Speedo, now that's casual, then I think you will agree that Eric's dress code wasn't to out of the ordinary. In fact I didn't mind Eric's dress code, however, I was a bit disappointed when the dynamite didn't blow up. It would have made for a real show stopper.

This was Miguel Gea's second time at 4F and he was the fourth performer on the Thursday afternoon "The Recognizable Faces Show". He performed a very nice Coins Across routine where the coins traveled from one hand, and with a clink, to a drinking glass. I will not tip the technique used, however, it is one that I would consider using. It was a very entertaining routine.
