As we get closer to August, Jim at T. Myers will be adding more links to the schedule that will have all of the info on each stop. They are still finalizing things now, but it will all be at the link above by the time the tour starts. Pokie-Poke is just more on the ball than most ; )

boy I got you fooled. Actually Squishi Squishy is to blame for this. we are still running on the energy from twist and shout. I'm looking forward to this. I had stopped practicing balloons and was not sure I wanted to go to twist and shout. long drive from philli. it was well worth it, so hear we go! I'm hooked again.

I'll be hosting Don in Little Rock on Tuesday, September 11. If that's closer to your neck of the woods, I'd love to see you there. We'll be taking money at the door but I would love to know if you coming. Details are on my web site http://www.illputaspellonyou.com or T-Meyers site http://www.tmeyers.com .

The beauty of it is Jim has packs for each of the classes. Enough balloons to do each one of the sculptures Don teaches. They are less than if you bought everything or brought it.
Tell Don I said hi. He was very nice to my daughter.

I was at the Pa. T. Jam this past week. Even though much of it was way over my head, I thoroughly enjoyed it, learned a whole ton of stuff, and everyone that I spoke to was more than anxious to help. Don is a super teacher and keeps his audience amused while learning. It was well organized, the food was good, and all that I can say is kudos to the host and hostess, and kudos to T. Meyers for making this event available.

Thank you Jakeg. If you want to get together and jam drop me a line.
also have you tried the killer whale kit from belatex they gave out? boy that was big! got a good laugh out of it. as for what to bring. Your pump, cash, get some sleep before so you can pay close attention. (Wish I had done that) If you get the chance to get to one (or more)of the stops I recommend it.

Don just came through Little Rock. We had a small group but he still put in the time and effort as if 100 people were there. Once you've been through his class, get ready to buy a larger balloon bag. You'll want to start using strange colors like green and black hearts and 360's of all colors. He does just awful, twisted things to these pieces of latex to turn them into recognizable cartoon characters. He's a professional from head to toe. I know he must be ready to get back home. He said he's been away for over 6 weeks.
A bit of gossip to pass on: Don mentioned that his mentor Jeff McBride was quite possibly attending T-Jam in 2008 and even teaching a class. He acted like it was common knowledge that McBride was a balloon twister. I had no clue. Definitely makes me want to start saving my pennies to get there though. |
