So,
This weekend I was at the swap meet out here in Honolulu and came across a felt bag with no markings. When I looked inside there was a set of cups and balls. The lady sold them to me for 10$ and I walked away not quite knowing what I had. When I got home, I discovered that a piece of paper was tucked inside the lower cup that I originally just thought was a copy of printed instructions for performing the routine. Much to my suprise, the markings on the bottom of the sheet were from Rings and Things. These are a set of original Rings and Things Copper Monte Cups!!!!!! I guess the 50 cent admission price to the swap meet paid off!!!!!! Just had to brag about this one!!! Chris |

Great to have a quality set of cups.
How are you doing at learning to do the trick for people?

If you post pictures of the cups, I'm sure Bill Palmer can confirm them for you.

Wow great find Chris. I seem to recall a thread not long ago asking if anyone had made any amazing finds like these. You'd think with the price of copper these days the lady would have at least sold them to you for what she could have gotten at a scrap yard

Reminds me of a few years ago in San Francisco. A magician passed away, I don't know who it was, and he didn't want someone getting his books etc and just selling them so he had his family sell them to a regular used book store. The priced them very low and a lady magician stumbled across all of them and they quickly were gone to the SF magic crowd (until one of those guys he was worried about grabbing them and selling them at inflated prices found out).

Hey, guys... I misplaced a set of Rings N Things Copper Monte cups somewhere in Honolulu, somewhere near a swap meet. They were in a felt bag... Yeah, that's it... had instructions with them. Has anyone here seen them??

These are Monti cups, not Monte cups. Monti refers to Harry Monti (real name Harry Montieth) who was the designer of the cups.

Bill,
Knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Please use it for good and not evil. Dude , you know way too much about the CUPS AND BALLS! But that's why we love you . You amaze me, Rich
God's grace rocks! It makes a good cups and balls routine look pretty boring in comparison.
