Hey Guys. I just wanted to get some opinions on the Doug Edwards books that are out there (Packs A Wallop and Brass Knuckles). I have PAW, and right from the first trick described, I loved the book. I do this trick (Packs a Wallop) all the time. What do you guys think?
Thanks, Aaron |

Has anyone read any of his books? Anyone?

I love PAW, and use a number of the items within it. Haven't seen Brass Knuckles, so I can't comment. I'm a big fan of Doug's routining and thinking.

I love the Packs a Wallop routine (transposition) as well as other card magic effects.

I hate to say it, but Packs a Wallop left me cold. I didn't find anything that I thought I could use.
Perhaps I should get the book out again and give it another try? |

Brass Knuckles is worth looking into.
The book has four sections - Palms, Shuffles and Lifts - Cuts, COntrols and Changes - Hard hitting mysteries - Bonus Items Based on the title, I was hoping for some severe knuckle busting moves. It was not the case. The moves are fair and easy to master, probably also due to the great amount of superb illustrations. In fact, I seldom came across a book with such clear explanations. The tricks are a mixed bag. Some brought a big smile on my face, some left me cold. I would say that there is something for everybody in it and the book is absolutely worth the purchase. As someone mentioned, it is a joy of watching a great mind at work.

The books are terrific. I agree about Greg Webb's illustrations, they are right on.
If you can ,get old Apocalypes issues and find the Doug Edwards gems there too. Did anyone buy the new Instanto Deck being sold by The Trickery? This effect makes you look like a real pro card handler though the deck you are buying in gimmicked to the hilt. |

I am curious to get a review of the Instanto Deck as well.
