I read Barrie Richardson's Act 2 and he mentioned that he was told that Gary Kurtz as a clever method of center tear. I am curious to know if any fellow have come information on this.
Thanks for the help in advance. Alex Hui

It is in his Completely Mental series of books. I don't remember which one though. It is very good but the only center tear I personally use is Mr. Osterlind's. Only because I'm accustomed doing it and see no reason to switch what I am good at. Mr. Kurtz' is used by many top professionals though.

Yes, it is excellent. It was actually the first one I learned. After that I learned and do the Osterlind but use the Kurtz method if they fold their billet one too many times. In the same volume (1) he has a great routine using three business cards.

It was for a long time my favourite tear but now replaced by David Lees Center Tear.

The Jaja Center tear is great, very easy, and practical. Get Completely Mental volumes I and II, they have excellent billet work and ideas. I would say it ties with Osterlind`s PCT in ease.

It's a superb tear.
Very quick and casual, done without looking. It's the only one I use. Cheer. Tom |

Hi Helder,
I used the tear quite often and never had a problem with it. I think it works with most kinds of paper. Send me a pm and we can set up a skype-session and talk about it if you'd like. Take care, Axel |
