I can only second that comment Scottishmagician from my own experience with Black Artefacts but I have noticed that the average service amongst sellers of magic items is much higher than in the rest of the retail industry by far.

I'm crazy (no comments!) about Keith's SCENTS! I've used the #1 on stuff for a long time . . some wooden boxed 'old' tarot cards, for example. I've no experience with #2 (clinical/ laboratory/ mortuary!) #1 is dry, dusty, old, locked in a museum cabinet for decades scent. It's designed to be a definite - but neutral scent. That is, NO usual flowers or mosses, or baby powder or 'fresh laundry' stuff! So the subliminal associations caused by this scent won't be flowers or laundry, etc! I've posted this concept on the bizarre/ Doug Higley's Ripper thread. Read about em on his web site . .

Black Aritifacts -- wonderful. US Dollar against British Pound -- Attrocious. Kieth Hart's thoughts and tricks -- Priceless!
I do wish, however, he would come up with a large, maculine medailion -- not plastic -- for use with arvane of medival robes.......sort of a badge of town or province magician too powerful to be burned at the stake...maybe with a compartment in it for a billet. (Ala Borodin's very ex[ensive one.)

Wow, thank you very much for your kind comments. All I can say is that I do my best to supply quality effects and props and give service that I would expect myself. We listen to praise but more importantly we listen to any critisism and then act on it.
I often think that there are far to many 'generic' on-line magic stores about today who simply retail items that can be found on any other magic dealers website. Black Artefacts only sell our own effects so you can't get them anywhere else. I spend a lot of time working on effects and sometimes it takes several years to get something from an idea into the production stage. I'm working on another historical effect at the moment and am researching the facts before I can write the script. I know what the effect will do and I know how it will be done - the hard part is writing the script! Thanks again folks. Keith Hart

Chmara,
I feel your pain. I've looked at Mr. Hart's webpage with astonishment and that unusual itch that may only be satisfied by typing one's credit card numbers into the machine and awaiting eagerly the arrival of new supplies. Alas, at last check, the dollar is about 1.9 to the pound. Ouch. Oh well...I'll just have to save my pennies and dimes instead of making them all disappear! J |

If only the bill switch really did create the hundred from a ten (I've put it in dollars because I feel for your problem with the pound's strength - for me to order from the States is positive heaven for the same reason).

I have not purchased from Black Hart before, but I have been looking at a few items. Empathy, Name in the Flame, Bleeding Candle, and Draculea. I was able to find a basic review of Draculea through another thread, but have been unable to find a review of any of the others. Does anyone have and can recommend any of the named effects? Anything else that has really stood out to you from his artefacts?

For any interested, I found reviews for each item I was looking for through another magic forum based in the UK.
