You might want rope lights with a chase on them...lots of different dealers, so you'd want to shop around.

They are light bulb like regular one with clear on outside.

Chasse light circuits are four channels with common nueteral. the chaser unit is a pakage deal from just about any dj supplier.

Just one of many out there, very easy to wire.
