Hocus-Pocus has Tipper Monkey in stock again. Its priced at 299. Is this worth it and does anyone know if it comes with the foot control?

Last time I looked it had nothing but a toe switch. As far as whether or not it is worth the price, I guess that depends on whether you have a place for it in your act. It's designed to garner tips so if it works for you in that regard then I guess it could be worth it.

I had one of these, but had to return it. It was faulty, and I didn't want to chance another. It was great while it lasted, the kids loved it! The little monkey has only a limited repertoire, but being able to control it with your toe is brilliant! I believe they're now better made, so if the unit works well, I'd definitely recommend it.

One more question about tipper. Are you able to control both of his functions seperately? I mean, can you make him smile when you want, and clap when you want? Or is it one cycle?

It's one cycle. The cycle goes from screeching to clanging the cymbals. If you have good "sleight of toe" , you can make him just smile, then activating him again he'll clang the cymbals. The next activation, if held done long enough, will make him screech.

Just for information, Tipper was never just a toe switch, the new improved model is a little gem, if looked after, will repay the investment many times over. in short, not cheap but what great effects are?

I believe the new ones are not via "cycle" anymore...the controls for the smiling and clapping functions are seperate. Im not sure how the toe switch works on the new one...

The remote must be near the monkey for it to work properly...a few inches away and the monkey goes berzerk
