Okito-Nielsen Gobi Bowl
This will be the first Okito-Nielsen piece in my collection when it arrives, but the pictures look like it's a winner. Norm has earned a reputation on these Oriental pieces and I am looking forward to seeing his craftsmanship up close. Anyone has any comments on their experience with the Okito-Nielsen line? |

Hi George,
Norm makes a great product. His checker cabinet is stunning and works like a charm. It is a real centerpiece. His coolie tube is also a nice piece. He has made these at several times in his life. The canary cabinet is also very well done. I did not like his production box with the mirr--. I thought the material used inside ruined the illusion. It was a check pattern and it looked odd when the pattern hit the mirr--. The rest of the box was well made though. If you want it to collect it is very nice, but not to perform. Roger at Fantasma has a limited edition jumbo size for sale. Tell him I sent you. He also has a mignon cabinet from Norm for sale. This is a stunning piece. I would say that Norm's Okito pieces are on a par with carl Williams more or less. Hope this helps. Brett |

Thanks Brett...the Gobi Bowl is on the UPS delivery truck as I track it, so should get a chance to see it up close tonight when I get home. Hopefully, a signature is not required as no one may be home when it arrives. Full review will be up on Andy Martin's site at the earliest convenience. Wonder how many were made and this looks to be the only run ever on this item.

I just received my Okito-Nielsen Gobi Bowl. It's beautiful. The box is exquisite and works perfectly; the copperwork is great and the whole effect is stunning. I will practice until I can perform it as seamlessly as Norm does in the film that comes with the instructions.
This really is one superb effect. Geoffrey
