Hey guys
I just posted this in a different thread, but I believe it belongs here: I just looked through an issue of Magic from 1995. There was an ad for Billy Tarr's BT Two. I dunno this gimmick from before, but it sounds great. Does anyone know where I can get it? The add said it had to be purchased directly from Billy himself. If you know it, would you recommend it? Thanx, Stig |

I favor the Gary Kurtz "Ghost Writer" over the Bill Tarr gimmick. It may take a while to find one however when you do I am sure you will like it.

I've used the BT2 for almost 20 years. I highly recommend it, if you can find it. I believe Mr. Tarr passed away a few years ago. I use it mainly in walk around magic. Some magi may be a little spooked by being so bold with the gimmick in your hand right up under their noses, but I have never been busted. There are many effects you can do with it, but mine is simple and straight forward.
I have a blue Bic pen and a small memo pad. I draw a blue circle on the page I then ask a couple of silly questions telling them the answers will give me a clue of their personalities and the choices they may make. I then write a prediction and cover it up with my thumb. I put away the blue pen and bring out a red Bic pen and draw another circle above the blue one. I then ask them to say of a number between 1 to 1000, they say it and you write it in the red cirle and then put away the pen. Then I say," Wouldn't be amazing if what I've written in the blue circle earlier, matched the number you JUST named. I slowly remove my thumb showing the matching numbers. |
