Does this include the original Paperclipped? I have been meaning to get it but never did. Will I be fine with this new version?

Absolutely. The original is very well covered.
For those of you who have this, an idea I've been playing with is doing Premonition totally impromptu by folding the card and putting it into the card case. That way the trick is totally impromptu and you don't have to worry about having a paperclip on you.

Just got mine today! It's awesome. Jay presented a ton of different ideas and handlings. I found a couple that very much fit my style and that will make it much more comfortable for me to add this type of stuff to my repertoire.

Great DVD. At first, I thought re releasing this was a bad idea but Jay goes though everything you need in great detail.

There are a couple of routines on there that don't require the Merc Card fold. In some of the routines, you openly fold the card. Other ideas, there aren't any cards used... I'm gonna rewatch this tonight. It's been a few days. I usually watch everything 3 or 4 times before I make the ultimate decision on what I add to my arsenal.
But rest assured that there is some killer stuff in here. |

There was of course the idea of using this for billets and envelopes, which does not use the MCF, but I thought there was a card trick that didn't use it. However, the trick where he burns the playing card with a lighter could be done without using MCF. |

I've been doing a card to balloon effect for years, but only recently have I messed around with using MCF to do it. My problem is that I suck at the move. I need a ton of misdirection to pull it off (by the way, that's one of my favorite things about Joe Diamond's effect "Great Scott" from "Underground Jam." There's plenty of misdirection).
Anyway, I digress. Paperclipped really spends some time breaking down the MCF, so I'm using it to improve my technique so that I can pull off my card to balloon effect. |
