I think it's the prettiest "rising cards" out there.

Very mysterious to watch - the performer apparently is not in control of the cards.
Having a spectator assist with the effect is very unique.

btw: Does anyone know what the "improvement" Hathaway added to the original Albenice trick?

This trick is in early Tannen catalogs, plus others of course.
