Have any of you wrapped yourself in chain for promo shots/posters?
Any opinion on chain types to use that avoid glare from camera lash? Galvanized, zinc, other types of chain metal? Btw, is the most common size of chain 1/4"?

Todays Technology is Great if there is any glare. you should be able to reduce it or remove it entirely 1/4 chain is a good choice but some others might use something thicker. remember the thicker the chain the heavier its going to be on you.

For photo shoots:
Just use gray PLASTIC Chain (used for decorative outdoor gardens)..comes in large-link sizes. There would be no glare from the plastic. Even up-close, you can't tell that it's fake chain, without touching it. And due it's lightness, you can have it wrapped all around you and you'd still be comfortable. So, why bother with all of the heavy weight of a real chain? |

Mox, you're kidding right?
One can't tell the difference between gray garden chain and the real thing even close up? What kinds of specialty garden chain are you using?

First you need a good set with nice lighting. A real good camera and a beautiful girl. Next you need some twangy guitar music from the 70's and............ Opps. You mean PROM shots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>>ok, check that. --from a few feet away, you can't tell. >>Regardless, for PHOTOS - you couldn't tell. I only suggested plastic chain as an option. No weight or glare issues. |
