I recently purchased a coin collection in which there was a coin that I had never seen. On one side it is a 2.5 D gold USA coin that was minted around 1890. The other side is a 5 peso Argentine gold coin. I belive they are probably replicas because the lettering on the Agentin coin is different from real ones. It is 3/4 inch in diameter. I don't know if it is gaffed or was minted that way. I can't see any seems. Does any one have any idea what it is. In the collection were several very old shells that were crudly made and a couple of Howard Thurston good luck coins and some english pennys that were cupped for the find the pea. Any infomation would be appreciated.

I have 2 ideas for you.
1st. if possible try a bang ring and see what happens or shake it in a cup 2nd. take a magnet to it 3rd. if non of the above effect it, you have a strange c/s coin that will be great for spellbounds. |

Does the coin feel or sound solid or like it's hollow?
Mediocrity is greatly under rated!
