Gentlemen,
I am curious to see if any of you fine coin manipulators have any tips or exercises that may help me in getting a good Gothman pinch. I feel that I am not getting the right or full (45)degree at the behind fingers location. Does someone who uses this regularly, have any advice for achieving a good, natural well hidden pinch? Thank you

While I rarely use the Goshman pinch (properly called the "Tenkai Pinch") because of "angle" reasons and my hand looks "arthritic" to me probably because of my big hands (I use a regular back clip instead), Jay Sankey has a great routine and shows you his technique in his "Mr. Clean Coins Accross" found in his Best of Sankey DVD and is also available in his "Revotionary Coin Magic" VHS. The best way of learning the pinch is just to practice it regularly so that it simply becomes second nature. Learning the pinch or even the back clip just takes time for you to do it naturally unless you keep practicing a lot.

hey, i found the goshman pinch very easy... i think it is because i used to practice back palm productions with cards, and the holding of the coin is very simular to the same as back palming cards. atleast to me ^_^.

While the Tenkai (AKA Goshman) pinch is easy, it looks unnatural with my big hands. With Jay Sankey it looks natural because of his small hands. Jay Sankey says that's it's easier to handle cards because of the knucklebusting coin training (since he started with coins first and then added cards later).

Thanks Guys, I kinda thought there wasn't an easy way out. I will start a steady practice routine with this sleight in order to achieve a second nature look.
