Hi all,
I finally got a copy of this wonderous tome... and it dawned on me that everytime someone asks for a list of bizarre magick books, we always go through, Cap tales, Hauntiques, Sheherazde, Midnight in D Museum, Final Curtain, Vo Dou Magick, Strange Ceremonies, etc... well..I can go on for a while...but no one ever mentions this one. MS is full of GOLD. So, next time someone posts... hey, wait a second... how come we do not have a sticky thread with "BIZARRE MAGICK RESOURCES?"...then we don'thave to keep posting the same answers...just add!? Just a thought. Is gold... is gold...

Has been on my wish list for awhile. However I have about 10 other "wonderous tomes" to get through first. Is there any full reviews, or contents here?
The great trouble with magicians is the fact that they believe when they have bought a certain trick or piece of apparatus, and know the method or procedure, that they are full-fledged mystifiers. -- Harry Houdini

Don't read this book for the effects (although there are some nice ones), but for the information it gives...
While reading it, it dawned on me what kind of magic I wanted to do. I believe Jeff McBride calls it "mythopoetical magic". This just hasn't the nice ring that "mizarrism" has, though. Aaah. And the "arcana" pages by Kathlyn Breene are wonderful on many levels... |

It would be hard to describe all the contents - but it is a great way to delve into the history, concepts, and frameworks of performance magic and trying to remember it is an important powerful art.

half mediation - half entertainment I like that book too. I should have bought it when it was at the shop I work at. |

Yes and Yes.
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."
