As of Today July 9th, 2007, ther are 37 days to the KIDabra Conference, 36 days if you plan to attend the Marketing sessions, and 35 days if you want to see Terry Evanswood Grand Illusion show, and 34 Days if you are planning to drive a full day. At least it is 34 for me.

Are you going?

I just saw a food channel special on theme park food, Dollywood is a great food destination, and it happens to be right in Pigeon Forge TN. Have you ever had any of the gourmet food they serve there? The french fries are famous, one slice of her apple pie weighs 1 1/2 lb., and is big enough for three people.

I haven't made it into Dollywood, but the food outside is cheap and great.

My August is full of day care center jobs, so have a good time, tell Billy I said hi, and I'll see you the third Thursday in September.

I heard people stand in line for hours just to try Dollies chicken, or ribs. Have you ever eaten "award winning" french fries. I saw them on TV, but I can only imagine how good award winning french fries taste.

You guys know that I'm always booked solid in August. That's why you hold Kidabra then, just to keep me from attending. Then as a back up plan, just in case I get a free weekend in August some where down the line, you hold it in a part of the country that is difficult to get to and I have little or no interest in seeing.
It's all a big conspiracy to keep me away and insure that I never become a big time kids performer by utilizing all that one can learn at this conference.
Seriously though have lots of fun and say hello to Silly Billy and Max (if he's there this year) for me.

Payne, I like your humor.

No month is really best for a convention for everyone, as I am sure you're aware.

Sept to June are school working months and in the South many schools start mid-August.

June and July are IBM and SAM Conventions. Abbotts is at the beginning of August.

Of all the months, August is nice (Hurricane weather nearer to the Atlantic) so TN seems to be a good choice.

As for flying, it is a good time and prices are down. Sometimes it's cheaper to fly across country than a local flight a couple hundred miles.

Many KIDabra attendees pruposely do not take jobs during this week because this is an important conference to each of us. Maybe someday we will meet in August at one of these conferences.

I just want to get the record streight. Payne said to say hi to Silly Billy, and I said say hi to Billy for me. David Kaye is a nice fellow who I have never met, I was refering to your teenaged son Billy.

A lot of new faces this year at Kidabra. Terry herbert, Magic Al, Chris Capheart, just to name a few. Should be another great year. This is the one convention I X out in my book even if I am not lecturing. I always get a lot of going. I am having a late night, hang out, jam session thursday night in the lobby!

Well gang, it is 23 days until KIDabra Conference starts with it fantastic auction. Less time if you consider driving time, and are going to the Marketing Seminars. As always, I do look forward to this conference every year!

It's less than two weeks away for me as I am leaving Aug 12th for the KIDabra Conference and to go to Terry Evanswood Grand Illusion Show before the Marketing Session begins.

It will be a 12 hour drive for me!
