...still consists of running away.
I hope I get better about that. I got a pair of D'Lites today. They're going to be a lot of fun to play with, but I worry about the ditch. I did Prohibition for a friend yesterday. Pulled it off perfectly, but afterwards she burned a hole through my hand. Nothing was showing, but it surprised me that she would go *there* after that type of effect. I couldn't wait to get out of there. |

Maybe your hand was still a bit stiff after prohibition, or looked guilty. Most of the time with a penetration that ends clean, I hand out the bottle and ask if they will inspect it etc (give them something to look at) so you have enough time to ditch it.
With the D'lites if you show your hands empty, the spectators usually don't have any interest in the ditching anymore. But if you want to be completely sure, you might want to have an excuse to go into your pockets (like fetching a deck of cards etc). Hope I helped you out a bit and good luck |

D'Lights are fun! Don't worry about ditching the lights, you will be more comfortable as you practice! It's funny how when you watch a magician performing you don't notice anything but then when you do it your all nervous. Funny thing! Have fun!

If for some reason you don't want to hand them the bottle you can always ask them a question and make eye contact. -Try not to think about your hand or what you're secretly doing. This will help you with the next tip and people can tell when you are doing something if you are uneasy about it. -Relax your hand. Use a mirror to make your hand look as natural as possible. -When ditching, make that action justified and make it look natural. I don't own Prohibition but these things are pretty general (except for handing them the bottle) and I assume they can be applied to Prohibition. |

I think my biggest problem right now is never knowing what I'm going to do next.
I need to make a list of the tricks I know, so that when I need to ditch something, there's a reason to go in for something else. Even if I don't string together a whole routine, but pairs of things that allow me to end up as clean as possible. I have to say, I had so much fun entertaining my wife's visiting Norwegian cousin last night. He has this big booming laugh, and watching his genuine astonishment was a blast. When I did Scotch and Soda, and he just looked from one hand to the other, and suddenly realized there's no copper coin...that was priceless. I asked him to stay forever. |
